Mule Deer

Dan with his 2007 Montana opening day mule deer buck. This rascal and
an equally big 2-point buck tried to slip away from us though a coulee.
They paused for a few seconds at a junction with another coulee down below
us. But he left me enough time to place a 120 gr. Sierra Pro Hunter bullet
into his neck at just under 300 yards. I shot off my fanny pack thrown
on top of a big rock. He scores about 160 B&C.
The rifle is a Lilja barreled .257 Weatherby Mag on a #4 contour in chrome-moly
steel. The stock is made from a nice piece of California English walnut.
