Backcountry of Utah

This is the Angel Point airstrip in southeast Utah with the Henry Mountains in the distance. I stopped here in October of 2003 while returning from the NBRSA Nationals in Phoenix. Not too many backcountry strips have a crosswind intersecting strip but this one does. I used it this day too. A strong wind from the south made the runway choice easy. However this strip sits on a plateau and there was a very strong downdraft on the approach.
